1639-1790740: A full figure portrait of a coal miner outside his humble wooden dwelling, wearing his safety helmet and carrying his lunch pail. The miner, Bartholomew Pawlik,came to the U.S. probably from Serbia or Croatia, in the 1890's. He died of silicosis in 1918. Circa 1915 |
