1639-1790727: This 20 ton motor in tandem is hauling 70 cars of coal (apx 500 tons) along 6 1/2 miles of narrow-gauge track inside the Vesta #4 and #5 mines of the Jones & Laughlin's Vesta-Shannopin Coal Division. At this point the motor is separated from its cars, and the trip is completed for the coal by an under-track chain haul. |
